For school bus operators

Dispatch without the blind spots.

Buscolaire gives your dispatch team a clear view of every run, every bus and every situation that needs a decision — then shares the right trip state with the schools and parents concerned, and no one else.

School bus dispatch

A dispatch screen built for difficult mornings

Map, fleet list and run dossier side by side. Delays, lost GPS signals and unassigned runs surface on their own.

  • Live fleet view

Each bus shows its run, its driver, its last GPS fix and how old that fix is. Filter by late, offline, unassigned or incident.

  • Relief drivers

Reassign a driver or a vehicle in a few steps. The change is validated on the server, logged, and reflected in the new driver's console.

  • Structured incidents

Mechanical issue, road closure, weather, medical situation: every incident has a severity, an owner, a history and a status until it is resolved.

  • Targeted notices

A delay on route 12A notifies that route's parents and school only. Emergency broadcasts require deliberate confirmation.

School transportation management

Versioned routes, never quietly edited

A published route cannot be edited: you create a new version with its own effective date. Stops must be approved, scheduled times must follow stop order and vehicle capacity is checked before publishing.

Paths are calculated on the real road network (OpenStreetMap data). You always know which version ran on a given morning, and who published it.

  • Route versions with effective dates
  • Approved stops only, each with its own detection zone
  • Capacity checks, including wheelchair positions
  • Full history: who published, when and why

Fleet & team

Your fleet, your team, your rules

  • Vehicle service status

Maintenance, out of service, available: an unavailable vehicle can't be assigned to a run by mistake.

  • Pre-trip inspection

The checklist is configurable per operator. The run doesn't start until it is complete.

  • Distraction-free driver console

Input is allowed only while the bus is stopped. While moving, the console becomes a passive, high-contrast display.

  • Activity reports

On-time performance by route, incidents, reported delays and route adherence, exportable to CSV for your clients and your team.

Your current GPS

Connected to your telematics, not replacing it

Buscolaire doesn't ask you to replace your hardware. When you authorize it, your telematics provider sends positions through a signed webhook; every position is timestamped, validated and matched to the right vehicle.

No GPS provider is connected to the platform yet: each connection is set up with a partner, tested during the “Connect” stage of a pilot, then monitored.

Always honest about the signal

When a position is more than two minutes old, Buscolaire shows “Signal lost” and falls back to the scheduled time. Never a fake live position.

Accountability

Every action leaves a trace

  • Audit log

Route publications, reassignments, parent notices and emergency actions are logged with their author and reason.

  • Organization-scoped access

Your fleet data stays yours. Schools and service centres see only what your contract provides for.

  • Strong authentication

Administrative roles require multi-factor authentication before entering secure spaces.
