The platform

One trip state, eight workspaces.

Buscolaire is a multi-organization school transportation coordination system. Each role has its own space, and they all read the same timestamped trip, filtered by each person's permissions.

The spaces

A space for every role

  • Parent space

Linked children's trips, estimated and scheduled times, GPS freshness, absences and notifications.

  • Driver console

Assignment, pre-trip inspection, large next-stop display, stopped-only actions and end of run.

  • Dispatch

Map, fleet list, delays, incidents, reassignments and targeted notices, on a dense but calm screen.

  • Routes

Approved stops, paths on real roads, scheduled times and published versions with effective dates.

  • Fleet & team

Vehicles, service status, capacity, drivers, relief and team invitations.

  • School

Students, parent invitations, stop requests, bell times and absences.

  • Service centre

Schools, contracted operators, route coverage, incidents and controlled exports.

  • Buscolaire HQ

Organizations, pilots, integrations, partnership requests, support and audit.

Integration status, without embellishment

Here is what works today and what gets connected during a pilot, with the partner's authorization.

  • Road maps

    Active

Real maps from OpenStreetMap, served by OpenFreeMap.

  • Path calculation

    Configurable

Paths calculated on the OpenStreetMap road network; a dedicated routing engine can be connected.

  • GPS and telematics

    No provider connected yet

Providers connect through a signed webhook once a partner authorizes it. Every position is timestamped and validated.

  • Email

    Configurable

Sent through Resend from a verified domain, in French and English.

  • Web notifications

    Planned

Browser push notifications, based on each parent's preferences.

  • Imports

    Configurable

CSV import of students, stops and vehicles, in a test environment first.

Foundations

Built to last, from day one

  • Bilingual from the start

Québec French first, complete Canadian English. Switching languages keeps your page and your session.

  • Accessibility

We target WCAG 2.2 AA: keyboard, contrast, touch targets, screen readers and reduced motion.

  • Installable web app

Nothing to download: Buscolaire opens in the browser and can be added to the home screen.

  • Security in the database

Organizations isolated by row-level rules, and commands validated on the server.
